Sleight keeps you at the edge of your seat because the unexpected is the norm.
The film stars Jacob Latimore as “Bo,” a young street magician who gets in too deep with selling drugs and the life that comes with it.
He has to become a hero when his sister is taken by a drug lord he once worked for — and his powers become his strongest defense.
“The most important thing with Sleight was to make sure we were telling Bo’s [Jacob Latimore] story,” said the film’s diretor, J.D. Dillard. “The magic and science fiction was all secondary. [We wanted to] make sure we understood why he’s in the situation he’s in and how he’s going to get out of it.”
Sleight opens up in theaters today.
