On Monday, two women were killed in a head-on collision in Orlando. One of those women was a survivor of the Pulse nightclub terror attack.
Orlando City Commissioner Patty Sheehan said on Tuesday that Jahqui Sevilla, a good person and private woman, had just been starting to pick up the pieces after surviving the ordeal at the Orlando Pulse nightclub when she lost control of her vehicle and hit a car that was driven by Soroya Matias-Roth. Both women were killed.
Sevilla was at the Orlando Pulse nightclub with her friend, Paula Blanco, and Blanco’s boyfriend, Cory Connell. They hid behind a couch.
Sevilla later told Channel 9’s Roy Ramos that she carried Connell out of the club, but he died due to his injuries after being shot in the attack.
