Beyoncé and JAY-Z’s twins remain in hospital after premature birth

*UPDATE* – TMZ is now reporting that Beyoncé and JAY-Z have finally taken their baby boy and girl home to their Malibu residence after spending a week and a half at UCLA Medical Center.

Beyoncé and JAY-Z welcomed their twins, a boy and a girl, into the world two weeks ago, but they haven’t been able to take their babies home just yet because they are still dealing with issues related to the premature birth.
According to TMZ, the babies are “under the lights,” which is a term used to describe a treatment for jaundice. The lights help with the elevated bilirubin levels in babies with jaundice.
None of the issues keeping the twins from leaving the hospital are reported to pose a risk for long-term medical issues, but the doctors don’t want to take a chance on releasing the babies until they are stable.
