This weekend, celebrity publicists Monique Jackson and Kita Williams introduced their new mini-conference: “Smart, Fun, Fab Girls.”

According to a press release, the event was created in order to combat the images that the media has presented to young women: “These two smart and creative ladies are on a mission to help fill a void that’s been created by the facade and false  images and lifestyle that reality TV and social media has created, especially for our young millennial women of color.”

As part of the mini-conference, a panel including Niecy Nash, Elise Neal, Shanice, and Torrei Hart shared their tips for success and explained how you can find meaning in your life without relying on the superficiality of social media and racking up ‘likes.’
