A 4-year-old girl was allegedly duct taped to a chair at Little Learners in Florissant, Missouri, and her parents are furious.

Elysha Brooks said in a Facebook post that one of the teachers posted an image of the child to Snapchat with the caption: “Thought I was playing.”

She said that the incident took place in March but that the day care had never told her about it. Instead, she learned about its existence because the image was sent to her by someone in the Department of Children and Family Services, according to KFVS.

“I’m looking at a picture of my daughter duct taped to a chair, and her facial expression, I can only imagine how she felt,” Brooks said.

Brooks also accused the daycare of not properly documenting a rock that was lodged in her daughter’s ear, which she said “almost damaged her eardrum.”

Christian Evans, the girl’s father, said that he would not be satisfied until the center was shut down and the teacher responsible was in jail.

“Seeing your child duct taped to a chair, seeing the anxiety, seeing how scared your kid is, knowing for one that you’re there to protect them and knowing for two that you have people around that would stoop to that level to hurt your child puts you in a crazy mind state,” Evans said.
