On Tuesday’s episode of “Bachelor in Paradise,” DeMario Jackson broke down when speaking with host Chris Harrison about the scandal in which he was accused of sexually assaulting Corinne Olympios.

He said that this kind of accusation was “every man’s biggest fear,” according to The Hollywood Reporter, and broke down in tears as he described what he had endured, along with his family.

“It’s tough. It’s difficult. I love my mom more than anything in this world,” he said. “Seeing her cry every single day, it was difficult. I’m her everything, best friends. I had to make her deactivate [social media], because she was going to war defending me. It sucked.”

“I never once thought that I would be here, today, speaking to you guys amid a crazy scandal,” he added.

Since Jackson did not return to the series after the scandal halted production, the segment with Harrison aired after an episode in which he was questioned by the host. Similarly, Olympios did not return to the series and will tell her side on August 29.

Ahead of that segment, she tweeted on Tuesday night, “Everyone: before making your assumptions, watch my interview with @chrisbharrison next week to hear it straight from me #bachelorinpardise.”
