Jesse Williams argues wife has privilege of being a stay-at-home mom

The actor responds to wife's claim that he is not involved enough in the lives of his children in nasty custody battle.

Recently Jesse Williams‘ estranged wife, Aryn Drake-Lee, suggested that he is not involved enough in the lives of his children. He has responded by claiming that the reason Drake-Lee is able to spend more time with the children is that he is the one working, while she stays home, with a full-time nanny.

The Grey’s Anatomy star reportedly filed legal documents claiming that Drake-Lee has the “incredible privilege of being a stay-at-home mom with a full-time nanny” while he works every day. He said that this also gives her the opportunity to “micro manage” his time with the children. He claimed that his FaceTime calls to the kids often go unanswered and that, when they are answered, Drake-Lee will often turn on the television as a distraction.

He also responded to allegations that he bullied Drake-Lee by saying that the only violence the kids had seen was when Drake-Lee yelled at him and repeatedly slammed his leg in the door.

In response, Drake-Lee’s lawyer, Jill Hersh, told TMZ, “It is a shame that Mr. Williams chose to place the children and his family’s transition in the public domain.”

“Aryn has been working tirelessly to maintain Mr. Williams’ bond with their children and it is important to remember that his one-sided allegations are made with a specific goal in mind. The judge is fully informed on both sides and will be making the final decision.”
