President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump visited the NRG Stadium in Houston to meet victims of Hurricane Harvey.

Cameras were able to catch a moment when Trump gave a big hug to a little girl who ran to him. Then he and the First Lady distributed meals to the victims of the storm.

Later in the day, Trump met with service members who have been helping with the response efforts and he couldn’t help but take a jab at the press.

“I hear the Coast Guard saved…almost 11,000 people by going into winds the media would not go into,” Trump said, pointing to the cameras. “They will not go into those winds unless it’s a really good story, in which case they will.”

His statement was not accurate according to coverage of the momentous storm. Reporters from all over have flocked to the scene of the worst flooding and have done plenty to rescue people from their flooded homes.
