‘It will be fun’: Teen allegedly talked two boys into raping a classmate

Two young men have been charged with raping a classmate in Frederick, Maryland. There is a third suspect still out there.

The victim was kidnapped by three young men as she was walking home on September 2. She was struck, her hair pulled and driven to an apartment where she was raped by two of the men while the third filmed it. The attack went on for hours.

“All three males took her into a car at knifepoint and took her to another apartment in the area, at which point, two of the males allegedly raped her,” Frederick police Detective Sgt. Andrew Alcorn said.

Two of the suspects were identified by the victim as classmates Edgar Natanal Chicas-Hernandez, 17, and Victor Antonio Gonzalez-Gutierres, 19. She was unable to identify the third attacker because his face was covered.

After the sexual assault, they dropped her off at her home and threatened about what would happen if she went to the police.

It was discovered in the investigation that a 13-year-old played a part in the rape.

“We believe that the younger acquaintance did know that this was going to occur,” Alcorn said.

According to documents the 13-year-old got in touch with the victim’s boyfriend on social media several days before the attack and said, “she had someone who was going to rape and extort money from (the victim). (The girl) asked if he wants to be part of her plan because it will be fun.”

The boyfriend said he did not want to participate in the attack. Then, after the rape took place the 13-year-old “said she had a video of the rape and that she would show it to him if he gave her one night of pleasure.”

Police are trying to determine who the third assailant was.

“This was not a case of mistaken identity or random attack. This was definitely they knew each other. As to their motive, we don’t know the answer to that question,” Alcorn stated.

“Frederick is a quiet town. We don’t see a lot of cases like this,” he said.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement have released a statement about Gonzalez-Gutierres, saying they have an immigration detainer out for him:

“ICE encountered Victor Antonio Gonzalez-Gutierres, a citizen of El Salvador, at the Frederick County Adult Detention Center April 24 after his arrest on local charges and issued him a notice to appear in immigration court. Gonzalez-Gutierres posted immigration bond April 27. ICE has lodged an immigration detainer with Frederick County after his most recent arrest on criminal charges.

“ICE lodges detainers on aliens who have been arrested on local criminal charges when the agency has probable cause to believe an alien is removable from the United States. These detainers serve as a legally-authorized request, upon which a law enforcement agency may rely, to continue to maintain custody of an alien for up to 48 hours so that ICE may assume custody for removal purposes. Pursuant to ICE policy, all ICE detainers are submitted with an accompanying administrative arrest warrant or warrant of removal depending upon the circumstances of the individual case.”
