Isaiah Washington on women wearing weaves: ‘Is it worth it emotionally?’

Isaiah Washington thinks Black women who wear weaves are exposing themselves to unnecessary drama that could be avoided if they chose a different hairstyle.

Luther Vandross was outed as gay after his death.

Isaiah Washington is of the opinion that Black women who wear weaves are exposing themselves to unnecessary drama that could have been avoided if they chose a different hairstyle.

“For my Queens that are being ‘shamed’ for wearing weaves. I love you. I really do, but ask yourself. ‘Is it worth it emotionally?'” Washington wrote on Twitter.

Of course, several people on Twitter clapped back at Washington’s comments, pointing out that women should be able to wear their hair in whatever style they wanted.

To that argument, Washington responded, “Yes, as long as there are no consequences that forces you to defend your choice for most of your adulthood. Life is complicated enough.”
