The suspected shooter who killed three coworkers and wounded two others at a Maryland office park reportedly called a meeting with his coworkers before he opened fire on them.
“He came into work that day, there are some reports out there, that he indeed called the workers together and assembled them,” Harford County Sheriff Jeffrey Gahler told Fox affiliate WTTG. “He strategized and thought this thing through ahead of time – it’s obvious.”
Gahler added that the coworkers didn’t know why the meeting had been called. He said that Radee Prince, the suspected shooter, waited until they were all gathered before he started shooting.
While there is not yet a known motive for the shooting, Gahler added, “His intent was clear – to take as many lives as he could yesterday.”
Prince was arrested on Wednesday night after a manhunt that spanned multiple states. He was arraigned on Thursday, and his bail has been set at $2.1 million.
The three coworkers who were killed, Bayarsaikhan Tudev, 53, Jose Hidalgo Romero, 43, and Enis Mrvoljak, 48, were all granite polishers at the company, where Prince had worked as a machinist, according to the Baltimore Sun. The other two coworkers who were shot have been listed as being in critical condition.
