#JusticeForJanet reacts to Justin Timberlake as 2018 Super Bowl headliner

Justin Timberlake has just been officially announced as the headliner for the 2018 Super Bowl, and the Internet isn’t happy about it at all.
The last time Timberlake performed during the Super Bowl halftime, it was with Janet Jackson, 13 years ago, and the result was a “wardrobe malfunction” that forever changed television.
However, many who saw the announcement by NFL and sponsor Pepsi that Timberlake would be coming back to the Super Bowl saw the incredible double standard that Timberlake and Jackson were facing after that last performance.
–Super Bowl news proves Justin Timberlake is the prince of White Privilege–
And it didn’t escape the Internet’s notice that the white man is getting to perform, while the Black woman is still banned by the NFL. The hashtag #JusticeForJanet is now trending as many demand that Jackson be treated the same way Timberlake is.
Check out some of Twitter’s best responses below.
This is misogyny and white privileged at work ladies. I’m not worried cause majority isn’t here for it #JusticeForJanet

When you think about it, the NFL is setting Justin up to fail. He has to live up to Gaga and Beyoncé’s performances. #JusticeForJanet pic.twitter.com/lVRyRz5etu

“Justin needs to bring Janet out” NO! The NFL had her banned for over a decade & they’d lift it just to make HIM look good? #JusticeForJanet pic.twitter.com/0ocw87LZQC
