According to TMZ, Braxton became depressed after her firing, and the firing and subsequent depression was enough to tip the scales of their relationship, which was already teetering on the edge of collapse from a roller coaster of emotions.

While the two of them have reportedly been putting on a solid public face and were seen out and about together acting like a happily married couple as recently as two weeks ago, Braxton had reportedly moved out three months ago. The two of them found it necessary to put on that united public face in order to promote their show, but now that the divorce has been filed, that is no longer the case.
