A Memphis mother is outraged after her 6-year-old son was slapped by a Walmart employee, resulting in a black eye.
Dominique Lax said her son, Antonio, had been watching cartoons in the waiting room at the automotive section of the Walmart while she was waiting for a battery to be installed in her car.
Lax said that a clerk took the remote away from Antonio, and the upset little boy bumped his shoulder into the clerk. The clerk then smacked Antonio hard enough to give him a black eye.
“Before I knew it, she comes from behind her desk and smacked my six-year-old right in the face,” Dominique Lax said.
She is now demanding answers from the Walmart and wants the clerk to be fired and arrested.
Walmart managers told local news station FOX13 that there was video of the incident and also provided the following statement: “We’re aware of Sunday’s incident inside our store and take the matter seriously. The person involved in this situation is no longer associated with the company.”
