Colin Kaepernick’s lawyer expects QB to sign contract within 10 days

On Tuesday, Colin Kaepernick’s lawyer predicted that the former quarterback would be signed to an NFL team in the next 10 days.

“I think within the next 10 days somebody will sign him,” Mark Geragos said on The Adam Carolla Show. “I think somebody’s gonna sign him. I think the NFL has to come to their senses, and realize every day that goes by just proves the collusion case even more.”

On October 15, Kaepernick filed a lawsuit against the league alleging that he was unable to get signed onto any NFL team because of collusion between the owners. Kaepernick had opted out of the 49ers in March and became a free agent, but no team would touch him. According to the lawsuit, Kaepernick could have lost millions because of this collusion against him.

The lawsuit alleges that Kaepernick has not been signed because of his activism, after he took a knee during the national anthem and kicked off a wave of protests. Kaepernick has stated that the protest was meant to decry the treatment of African-Americans in the United States, but opponents have said that kneeling during the national anthem is a sign of disrespect to the country, flag, and military.
