Girl provides disturbing testimony alleging she was raped by Nicki Minaj’s brother
On Monday, the former stepdaughter of Nicki Minaj’s brother, Jelani Maraj, provided chilling testimony about the abuse she endured from the age of 11 when she was living under the same roof as Maraj.
The girl recalled how the abuse began on April 2015, when she was only 11 years old.
“It was a Saturday morning,” she said. “I had went to him to go say ‘good morning.’ I had hugged him as usual. I went to go lie next to him as I usually do. When I did that, he told me to go close the door. He told me to take off my pants. Then he told me to come under the covers with him and he started caressing me.”
The girl then said that Maraj had sex with her, and that the sexual abuse continued, with Maraj frequently raping her after school.
“We would have sex in his bedroom, in my bedroom, in the basement,” she said.

The girl said that Maraj claimed she “wanted it to happen” because she was sending him signals and threatened to take her away from her mother if she told anyone what was happening.
Then, over the summer, Maraj began sodomizing her, even instructing her on how to make the rape hurt less.
“He used lubricant and told me to breathe properly and not to clench so it wouldn’t hurt so much,” she said. “It hurt. I told him to stop and tried to push him away.”
She also spoke about the night that her brother, who was 8 at the time, saw her and Maraj as she “was on my forearms on the bed and my pants were pulled down.” She claimed that she told her brother not to tell anyone for fear they would be “sent away.”
Maraj is facing multiple felony counts in the child rape case and could be sent to prison up to a life sentence.
