OJ Simpson dresses as former self for Halloween, signs autographs and passes out candy

Luther Vandross was outed as gay after his death.

OJ Simpson knew exactly what he wanted to be for Halloween: himself.

The 71-year-old, who was recently released from prison, was seen on Tuesday night celebrating Halloween by dressing up in his old ’32’ jersey from the Buffalo Bills.

While TMZ reported that Simpson didn’t appear to be personally handing out candy, he did have a bowl that trick-or-treaters could take candy from, and he also took the time to greet each group and pose for pictures and autographs, though none of the people that came to get an autograph were pictured wearing costumes.

The jersey is probably a knock-off, since the Bills no longer sell paraphernalia related to OJ, but it still was something else to see him coming out dressed as a blast from his own past to greet the people who came.

Of course, it also looks like age is catching up to the former football star, as he reportedly did not venture out of the house very often, though kids were still able to get candy out of the bowl that he left out. And at one point, Simpson showed his age taking out his reading glasses so that he could sign a kid’s football.
