EXCLUSIVE: Cynthia Bailey on Turning 50 & Rowdy ‘RHOA’ Premiere

Cynthia Bailey is not shedding any tears about turning 50. Instead, the Real Housewives of Atlanta star is turning up and showing out as she begins her new life as a single woman.

“I really made a big deal out of it. I’m embracing it,” she told TheGrio. “I’m having more fun now than I have in a long time because I have just let a lot of stuff go. I don’t overthink and I do what I want to do.”

Do it, Cynthia!!

“I feel like I represent this age group well. I want people to know that 50 is just the beginning,” she says. “ I made a lot of sacrifices for other people in the first half of my life and now it feels like my time.”

On the season 10 premiere of the hit show, we watched Cynthia plan her over-the-top extravaganza and folks pulled out all the stops while attempting to recreate her best looks.

Her daughter, Noelle, made her best efforts to give her mom a pep talk after learning her ex-husband, Peter Thomas, wouldn’t be making an appearance. Turns out, that was a blessing in disguise because Cynthia revealed that she met her latest love interest, Will Jones, at the soiree.

“He’s not my man,” she said. “I am dating. I have a couple of people that I date. I’m not trying to jump in to anything serious or exclusive right now.”

Again…Do.It. Cynthia!!

If you saw the premiere, you know the party wasn’t all fun and games and prompted a dust-up between Porsha and Nene. Despite the drama, the ladies looked fantastic and we caught up with the birthday girl to find out how she felt about her big celebration.
