Luther Vandross was outed as gay after his death.

Music superstars Patti LaBelle and Brandy Norwood have been added to the cast of Fox’s “Star.”

LaBelle will play Christine, the mother of Carlotta Brown (played by Queen Latifah), while Norwood will be Carlotta’s younger sister, Cassie.

It looks like Brandy is already stoked about joining the cast. The singer posted a fun selfie with on her on-screen big sister, Queen Latifah, presumably on the set.

The two singer-actresses will be appearing in multiple episodes during the second half of the season, which will air in the spring after a winter hiatus. In the meantime, the next episode of “Star” airs on Wednesday, Nov. 15, 9P ET/PT.

What do you think, Grio fam? Are you excited to see Patti and Brandy join the show?
