Tamar Braxton feels much more “at peace” after walking away from her marriage to Vincent Herbert.

“I’m at peace,” Braxton recently told People. “Vince and I are not fighting. I think people associate divorce with like, arguing and fighting and a lot of havoc, and that’s not where we are.”

Now, she said, their focus is on their son, Logan, who is 4.

“We have our little boy,” she said. “We just try to keep things as calm as we can.”

The singer and reality star added that she and Herbert were still in communication despite being separated. “Let me tell you something: When you love somebody, you probably will always love them,” she said. “That’s what I believe. Vince is a family member. It’s just unfortunate that things are where they are now, but you never know.”

Braxton also spoke about the future of Tamar & Vince. She said that she wasn’t sure what the future would hold for the show now that they were splitting up.

“We’ll see where Vince and I end up,” she said. “Maybe we’ll do a show about how things are now that we’re not together.”

As for the possibility of a reconciliation, Braxton said that it was “just really [hard] to tell.”
