Taye Diggs is making his directorial debut bringing Keenan Scott II’s “Thoughts of a Colored Man on a Day When the Sun Set Too Early” to Broadway.

According to a press release, the play will follow the stories of eight men as they “struggle to find their identity beyond the limitations, stereotypes, and obstacles that the world attempts to place on them based on the color of their skin. In an effort to better understand the human experience, they openly discuss love, race, education, family, and history.”

You can catch the industry readings of Thoughts of a Colored Man Nov. 16–17 at Ripley-Grier in New York City.
