CASTING NEWS: Tiffany Haddish Is Racking Up New Movie Roles
Tiffany Haddish is on a roll.
The actress who recently made history for being the first black comedienne to host Saturday Night Live has some new roles lined up and we can’t wait to see her takeover continue.
She’s set to star in Will Packer’s upcoming project, The Temp. The female-driven comedy will be co-produced and written by Dana Fox.
Tiff will be bringing her talents to the small screen alongside Tracy Morgan on TBS’ 2018 project, The Last OG.
According to Variety, she’s also in talks to star in the upcoming film, The Kitchen, directed by Straight Outta Compton screenwriter, Andrea Berloff.
The film is based on the comic book series by Ollie Masters and Ming Doyle for Vertigo from DC Entertainment. The series has gained a cult following since debuting in 2014 to critical acclaim. The Irish mafia story is set in Hell’s Kitchen, N.Y., in the 1970s. When the FBI comes in and does a sweep of the mob, several men are arrested. Their wives end up taking over and running the business much more viciously than the men ever did.
Let’s not forget she’s already done filming with her homie, Kevin Hart, for Universal’s Night School due out September 28.
Aside from her numerous acting gigs and upcoming comedy tour, She Ready, Haddish will serve as the star and executive producer on Paramount’s Limited Partners.
