The Ava DuVernay blockbuster is sure to impress moviegoers come March 2018
There were plenty of exciting aspects of the 2017 AMAs and the release of the first full-length trailer for Ava DuVernay’s A Wrinkle In Time was near the top of the list.
The new movie is a retelling of the classic sci-fi fantasy written by Madeleine L’Engle in 1963. The story focuses on a girl (played by 12 Years a Slave’s Storm Reid) whose father goes missing after working on a mysterious project for the government.
Throughout the story, the girl is guided by three celestial beings who help her find her missing scientist father. These beings are played by Oprah Winfrey, Mindy Kaling and Reese Witherspoon.
Other stars in the film are Scandal’s Bellamy Young, Andre Holland and Gugu Mbatha-Raw.
The movie will hit theaters in March 9, 2018. Watch the trailer below.
