Trump still backing Roy Moore: “We don’t need a liberal Democrat in that seat”

Luther Vandross was outed as gay after his death.

Before leaving Mar-a-Lago this afternoon President Trump had some words to say about the Senate seat that Roy Moore is vying for.

What POTUS said was that “we don’t need a liberal person in there,” this, despite eight women accusing Moore of multiple instances of sexual misconduct with young women, one as young as 14. All were teenage girls when Moore, in his 30’s, approached them.

“I can tell you one thing for sure,” Trump stated. “We don’t need a liberal person in there, a Democrat, Jones. I’ve looked at his record, it’s terrible on crime, it’s terrible on the border, it’s terrible on the military.”

Trump stated that Moore “totally denies” the allegations, saying, “He says it didn’t happen.” This despite Moore being banned from malls as well as the YMCA for his predatory behavior towards teenagers.

The president did not say specifically whether he believes Moore or not but he did say that voters should not vote for Democrat Doug Jones because, in Trump’s view, Jones is bad on crime and the border. He added that he will soon say whether he will campaign for Moore.
