Who doesn’t love a great spa day? Even better, who doesn’t love a spa day that is going to enhance your melaninated skin, while also being able to support a black owned business simultaneously.

Owned by St. Vincent native, Marsha-Ann Boyea, downtown Brooklyn’s Cynergy Spa, favors a holistic approach while also incorporating its African-American heritage with zebra prints, the hum of old jazz tunes, and paintings from local artists. Many of the spas facial treatments are tailored to darker skin tones, and even offer a range of treatments, such as reflexology, Booster massage, hot-stone massages, and a private couples-massage, complete with a Jacuzzi soak and side of strawberries and Champagne.

If you’re in New York City (or planning to visit sometime soon) and want a spa day to relax and unwind for yourself, with your beau, or with your girlfriends, you definitely want to check out Cynergy Spa.
