Kim Kardashian gets heartfelt thank you note from imprisoned grandma

Kim Kardashian's mission to free Alice Marie Johnson has kicked into high gear .

The 62-year-old grandmother serving a life sentence for her first offense, being involved in a cocaine ring, wrote a heartfelt thank you note to Kim Kardashian for the star’s efforts to help her secure her freedom.

Alice Marie Johnson expressed her “deep and heartfelt gratitude” to Kardashian, expressing her shock when she heard that Kardashian had hired lawyer Shawn Holley to help her with her case.

“Ms. Kardashian you are literally helping to save my life and restore me to my family. I was drowning and you have thrown me a life jacket and given me hope,” Johnson wrote.

“There are defining moments in history that have shaped the destiny of this nation. I believe that we are a part of a defining moment,” Johnson wrote, later expressing her believe that “this is so much bigger than either one of us.”

“I believe that history will record that Kim Kardashian had the courage to take a stand against human warehousing and was a key figure in meaningful criminal justice reform becoming a reality,” she added.

In addition to taking on Johnson’s case, Kardashian has also been involved in the fight to free Cyntoia Brown, the woman accused to killing a man who allegedly used her as a sex slave when she was 16.
