Daniel Kaluuya scored a nod for Best Actor in a musical or comedy for Get Out, but Jordan Peele was shut out of the race for Best Director.

On the television side, Issa Rae is nominated for Best Actress for Insecure but the show was largely ignored in other categories, like Best Comedy.

Anthony Anderson and Sterling K. Brown will vie for Best Actor titles in the comedy and drama categories. black-ish is up for Best Comedy series and This Is Us will compete in the Best Drama race once again.
