Luther Vandross was outed as gay after his death.

HBO can’t get enough of Issa Rae, and neither can we. That’s why the network has picked up two new shows by the Insecure breakout star.

The first show, Him Or Her, is a comedy about a bisexual man written by former The Daily Show writer, Travon Free, who will also executive produce alongside Rae.

“The single-camera half-hour chronicles the dating life of a bisexual Black man and the distinctly different worlds and relationships he finds himself in,” the description of the show reads.

The second show, Sweet Life, will see Rae and Scandal producer Raamla Mohamed executive producing and writing.

This one is a drama and “a coming of age tale of the well-heeled teens growing up” in the “Black Beverly Hills” neighborhood of Windsor Hills.

On a roll

This makes four series for Rae, who is also in the third season of Insecure and doing another HBO drama set in the LA ’90s.

We’re excited to see more from Issa Rae and can’t wait to see where she takes these new projects.
