Man confronted by police for handing out racist flyers, plays stupid on camera

A grown man got busted with the racist equivalent of a child getting his hand caught in the cookie jar and much like the child, he denied it.

Scott Rhodes’ visited some school grounds in Idaho to distribute CDs and racist flyers in an effort to spread his hateful message and when the cops showed up at his door he denied it.

Sandpoint Police Department officers asked about him allegedly handing out the racist flyers and his simple response? “No.” He was then asked to explain himself and he sort of got himself together and did elaborate, saying, “No, I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

The police then let him know that they had surveillance footage of him driving a red Jeep, one with his license plate number, getting out of it and placing the racist flyers and CDs on multiple cars on school property.

“No, I don’t think you do,” Rhodes said before adding, “I’d be happy to take your number and have my attorney call you.”

This is not the first time Rhodes has been reported to police for this type of behavior. In the summer, business owner Lee Hardin, a black man, reported to police that he had several racist and harassing letters sent to him.

“I was going to my car, and there was a red Jeep pulling out. He was pulling out and looked and saw me … and screamed the N-word at me. I said, ‘What?’ and he screamed it again and peeled out.”

Rhodes isn’t going to be facing jail time anytime soon, the cops only visited him in order to give him a trespass from the school district superintendent. That forbids him from being on school property for one year.

Rhodes continued to deny leaving the flyers as he spoke to the police, and they eventually got tired of his schtick.

“Look, we know that it’s you, we’ve had you on our radar, ‘kay?”  one cop said. “We know you’ve been handing out the flyers, putting them on the lawn, we know you’ve been to the school, gotcha on video, have your Jeep, your license plate number.”

“I have four cameras out to the front,” the other officer added.

Rhodes wasn’t having any of it though, saying, “I never handed out any flyers.”
