Singer J. Holiday has reemerged from musical irrelevance to go on a rant against Beyoncé, SZA and other women in music.

Apparently Holiday thinks Black women in music are to blame for the lack of Black men nominated at the 2018 Grammy Awards.

“So apparently the Black men still losing to the women—I get it,” he said in an video posted to Instagram.

“No disrespect, I was raised by a woman, I have two older sisters, man, I have absolute, all respect for Black women. But with that being said, understand this, man: Black men, African-American men, men from the hood, we go through everything to make sure that who we care about are taken care of.”

Holiday, best known for his 2007 hit song “Bed,” continued on his tirade by saying that men in music  “don’t swing [their] d**ks around” and “don’t do all this bullsh** to be seen.”

The D.C. native then called out Queen Bey, SZA and Cardi B directly.

“I got daughters, man,” he continued. “Beyoncé, Cardi B, SZA—all y’all motherf**kers—stop using that f**king pain to make it OK to say some bullsh** on your record, and get nominated for a Grammy for going through some bullsh**. Because so have I as a Black motherf**king man.”

Men nominated at this year’s Grammys

What J. Holiday failed to mention is that the men in hip-hop and R&B also got Grammy love.

JAY-Z, who takes a page from his wife by putting his personal life on wax, was nominated eight times, including the coveted Album of the Year and Song of the Year.

Others male artists nominated for Grammys this year are Kendrick Lamar, The Weeknd, Childish Gambino, Mali Music, Khalid and Bruno Mars, among others.

With that said, it’s quite difficult to discern what exactly is Holiday’s issue.
