Donald Trump Jr.’s wife taken to hospital after getting letter with white powder in it
Vanessa Trump, the wife of Donald Trump Jr., was reportedly taken to the hospital after opening a letter that contained an unknown white powder.

On Monday morning at around 10:00 a.m., Vanessa Trump opened the package, which had been sent to Trump Jr.’s Manhattan apartment. When firefighters and police arrived along with emergency medical responders, Vanessa Trump and two other people were decontaminated and then took them to the New York-Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center as a precaution.
“The substance was deemed to be non-hazardous and is being transported to a lab in New York City for further analysis,” said NYPD spokesman J. Peter Donald, according to ABC News.
The NYPD also stated that the Secret Service would be part of the investigation into the matter.

Donald Trump Jr. isn’t loved by the public
Trump Jr. has been the subject of public ire for his repeated defenses of his father as well as his role in the Russia investigation. In particular, the Russia investigation has looked into a meeting that Trump Jr. took with a Russian lawyer at Trump Tower.
At first, Trump Jr. claimed that the meeting had been about adoptions. However, as more information came out, emails revealed that he had hoped to get damaging information about Hillary Clinton for the campaign.
“I love it,” he said in the emails.
Trump Jr.’s father, Donald Trump, reportedly dictated his son’s response to the initial news about the Trump Tower meeting, which has only fueled accusations of obstruction of justice.

Recently, Trump Jr. also made headlines when he claimed that his father couldn’t be racist, because he’s got pictures with rappers.
While Trump Jr. has been a staunch supporter of his father, and it’s definitely true that there is real fear and worry over Trump’s presidency, it looks like someone might have taken anger at the Trump family too far and given his wife a terrifying experience this morning.
