Remember that time Idris Elba,45, was one of the hottest available bachelors on the planet?

It was reported on Saturday that the British movie star got down on one knee and proposed to his girlfriend Sabrina Dhowre, 29, at a screening for his new movie “Yardie.” The film, shot on location in London and Jamaica, is special to Elba. It will serve as his directorial debut although he also has a supporting role in the film.
The public display of love went down in front of an audience at the Rio Cinema in Dalston, London and the theater has since confirmed that the rumors are true via Twitter.

Through all of the hilariously distraught reactions that rattled social media following the reveal, many people did manage to express some happiness for Idris Elba and his bride-to-be.
Elba has been wed twice in the past: once to Hanne ‘Kim’ Norgaard from 1999 to 2003 and secondly to Sonya Nicole Hanklin in 2006. Elba has one child with his ex-wife Kim and another with his ex-girlfriend Naiyana Garth.
The newly engaged couple reportedly began dating last year. Dhowre met Elba during the filming of his movie The Mountain Between Us, co-starring Kate Winslet.
“Falling in love while making a movie about falling in love is pretty special,” Idris Elba told People at the time.
While we’re happy for the beautiful couple, we still need a moment.
