Pedestrian Bridge Collapses in Miami, Killing At Least 6
The collapse of a pedestrian bridge in Miami has left at least six people dead thus far. The bridge is located at Florida International University and was reportedly just completed this past weekend. At least nine people were taken to hospitals in the wake of the Thursday collapse. According to Sen. Marc Rubio, loose suspension cables caused the bridge failure. Workers are now collecting evidence and securing the area for public safety.

Outrage after jury acquits police officer who fatally shot Black teen in the back
Yet another family was left devastated and heartbroken after the reading of the jury’s verdict, that exonerated a police officer in the killing of a young Black man. Eric Hill–a police officer in Zion, a Chicago suburb– reportedly shot 17-year old Justus Howell twice in the back during a chase in April 2015. Hill claims Howell turned around during the chase and pointed a gun at him. Howell’s family states that when Officer Hill shot Justus Howell, he did not have the gun in his hand at the time, alleging Hill lied and doctored the scene.

Robert Mueller Subpoenas Trump Organization for Russia Probe
According to the New York Times, special counsel Robert Mueller has subpoenaed the Trump Organization for business records. Reportedly, this is related to the Russia investigation. Trump has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing or any collusion with the European nation. This appears to be the first time Mueller has involved Trump’s businesses in the investigation.

Tamar Braxton just shaved her head. After months of public scrutiny surrounding her troubled marriage to Vincent Herbert, the Braxton Family Values star is making a big change. The singer and former co-host of The Real posted a video on Instagram that showed a stylist shaving her head while Bobby Brown‘s “My Prerogative” blared in the background. “I’m over feeling captive to a wig, weave, people, people’s comments & opinions,” wrote Braxton in the Instagram post caption.
