Why Mama Jones is big mad that Chrissy Lampkin left her forever fiancé Jim Jones
Jim and Chrissy's relationship is well documented on reality tv.
In the exclusive clip from Marriage Bootcamp: Reality Stars Family Edition, we see Mama Jones confront Chrissy about leaving Jim and moving to Miami.
Jim Jones and Chrissy Lampkin have (famously) never tied the knot, but that hasn’t stopped them from joining the cast of WE tv’s Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars Family Edition. Of course since it is the family edition of the series, the pair is joined by someone else…Mama Jones—a reality star in her own right.
Mama Jones has always been a major figure in her son’s life (and hence Chrissy’s) and she does not mince words when it comes to somebody messing with her “baby.”
In the exclusive clip below, we see Mama Jones confront Chrissy about leaving Jim and moving to Miami. There’s lots of yelling (the type that makes veins pop out the neck), plenty of curse words, and a couple warnings. Jim is in the scene, but seems generally unbothered by the two women he loves going at it at full throttle.
Grio fam, do you think there was there a better way to handle this?
You can catch this entire episode of Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars Family Edition on Friday, March 23 at 9 pm EST on WE tv. It’s a whole hot mess this season with Jim, Chrissy and Mama Jones being joined by Teen Mom‘s Amber Portwood, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ Brandi Glanville, and Mob Wives’ Renee Graziano and all their family drama.
The History of Jim and Chrissy
We’ve been along for the roller coaster relationship of Jim and Chrissy for quite some time. They were breakout stars of the first Love and Hip Hop season on VH1 back in 2011. The two had already been together for many years at that point and marriage was clearly a touchy subject because Chrissy was ready for a ring while Jim wasn’t exactly eager to walk down the aisle. Chrissy actually proposed to Jim on the show and that caused a huge conversation on social media about role-reversals and whether women should ever get down on bended knee. Jim eventually proposed to Chrissy too.
We got even more of the Chrissy/Jim love story with the VH1 2012-2013 series Chrissy and Mr. Jones, which was supposed to chronicle their journey to the altar. Then they got another show on WE tv in 2016 called Jimmy and Chrissy: Vow or Never, which was supposed to chronicle their journey to the altar. No that was not a typo.
Spoiler Alert: They still haven’t made it to the altar.
