After losing her hit show this week, Roseanne Barr is likely on her fourth stage of grief which is depression, reflection and loneliness since she took to Twitter again, this time to apologize to the show’s sole black cast member Jayden Rey.
Nine-year-old Jayden, plays Mary Conner, Roseanne’s bi-racial grand-daughter on the show. Barr’s been reflecting about the racist tweet she spewed at Valerie Jarrett and now regrets it saying she doesn’t want Jayden to think she doesn’t care for her because of her offensive and hateful words.
“The saddest part of all is 4 Jayden Rey on the show whom I grew2 love so much & am so ashamed of myself that she would ever think I do not love her bc she is African American. It’s the most gawd awful painful thing. I can’t let myself cave in tho.’”
The Daily Mail reports that the embattled TV star was seen walking alone with a cell phone plastered to her ear in Utah when the paparazzi caught up with her.
Barr tried to clean up her racist tweet saying: “I believe in one law for all people, I love all people have a nice day.”
Barr also claimed she begged the network for her job back and to let her “make amends”.
“I begged Ben Sherwood at ABC 2 let me apologize & make amends. I begged them not to cancel the show. I told them I was willing to do anything & asked 4 help in making things right. I’d worked doing publicity 4 them 4 free for weeks, traveling, thru bronchitis. I begged 4 ppls jobs,” she tweeted.
“He said: what were you thinking when you did this? I said: I thought she was white, she looks like my family! He scoffed & said: ‘what u have done is egregious, and unforgivable.’ I begged 4 my crews jobs. Will I ever recover from this pain? omg.’”
