Rapper Chief Keef born Keith Farrelle Cozart was allegedly the target of an early Saturday morning outside the W Hotel in Times Square, reports TMZ.
Thankfully, the shooter(s) missed, but police told TMZ that they are searching for two Black males dressed in black hoodies. Authorities said it’s unclear how many shots were actually fired, but a shell casing was discovered at the scene.
Chief Keef is actively beefing with Tekashi69, who blasted the Chicago rapper in an Instagram video posted yesterday saying that, “no one gives a f–K about what y’all n—as did three years ago.”
Although it’s no secret that the rappers are odds, there’s no connection to the shooting at this time. Tekashi69 is currently in L.A., according to TMZ’s sources.
Chief Keep’s latest mixtape, The Glo Files Pt. 2, was released earlier in May.
