Buffalo Wild Wings issues apology over racist tweets, says their account was hacked
We're surprised Roseanne didn't use the same defense.
After a week of prominent entertainers (Roseanne, Samantha Bee, Joy Reid) making headlines for racist and/or vulgar remarks and issuing public apologies, it seems someone was inspired to keep the party going and share some shockingly racist and inappropriate tweets from the Buffalo Wild Wings Twitter account.
The restaurant chain has issued an apology over the tweets and insist they were the word of a hacker.
“Well, we were hacked. And it wasn’t funny. We apologize for the awful posts, which obviously did not come from us,” the restaurant said on Twitter. They also revealed plans to “pursue the appropriate action against the individuals involved.”
The tweets have been deleted but several social media users captured them before they were gone for good.
Brace yourself because they’re pretty gross.

The fact that the tweets were so random and so ridiculous make it easy to believe the account was indeed hacked, and we bet Roseanne is felling pretty pissed she didn’t use that defense when she was busted for racist twitter posts about Valerie Jarrett. The comedian whose hit ABC sitcom was cancelled as a result of the racist remarks attempted to blame just about everyone under the sun for her actions, except for hackers. She blamed everything from the influence of former First Lady Michelle Obama, to Ambien, to Memorial Day for her despicable words, but it never occurred to her to blame a hacker.
Now, several folks are trying to persuade the public that Roseanne’s mental health issues are responsible for the racism that got her fired, but we’re not buying it. Even I she does have multiple personalities, the tweets weren’t the first time she has proven to be disgusting and racist, so the notion that one of her personalities took the wheel just doesn’t pan out.
