The Download | June 7th: Alice Marie Johnson officially free + April Ryan and Sarah Huckabee Sanders convo gets heated + Ayesha Curry new show on ABC

Your daily 60-second video news wrap.

After spending more than two decades of her life behind bars for drug charges, Alice Marie Johnson is officially a free woman.

Johnson spoke with ABC’s Michael Strahan and says: “I feel I’ve overpaid the debt for the crime I committed. I’m not bitter about it but I’m just happy it came to an end.”

Johnson also says she’s grateful for everything Trump has done for her and her family and hopes he doesn’t forget about the others who deserve the same opportunity.

While many are applauding Kim Kardashian’s advocacy, critics say Trump is still putting a lot more people behind bars than freeing them.

Back on the Hill, things got heated again between journalist, April Ryan and White House press secretary, Sarah Huckabee Sanders during a press briefing. Sanders said Ryan was behaving rudely after she fact-checked the president about the inspiration for NFL protests.

And Ayesha Curry is never not working. The chef and soon to be mother of three is hosting a new competition cooking show called ‘Family Food Fight’ on ABC.

It will test different families’ regional cooking styles and offer $100,000 to the winner.

Not a bad show to judge at all!
