President Donald Trump found a candidate to take on the Supreme Court position formerly held by Justice Anthony M. Kennedy–who decided to retire. Trump feels 53-year-old Brett kavanaugh is more than qualified but some Black leaders are worried about what his record shows. One of the biggest concerns is what will happen to women’s abortion rights, if Kavanaugh is confirmed.

And in Florida, Kirenda Welcha pregnant black woman, is seeking justice after being arrested for a suspended license. Welch claims she was brutally assaulted and referred to as  “Kunta Kinte” by 21-year-old officer Catherine Thompson. Thompson —whose been on the job for 14 months– was arrested for battery and official misconduct.

And when it comes to comedy, are certain topics off limits? Dave Chappelle –who received some slack after his “metoo” jokes from his Netflix specials– says otherwise. It looks like Chapelle will continue to do what he does best– despite the critics.
