Ever since Beyonce released Lemonade in 2016, fans have been trying to figure out the identity of the woman her husband, Jay-Z cheated on her with.
Amber Rose suggested “Becky with the good hair” referenced in “Sorry” is none other than longtime friend of the family, Gwyneth Paltrow during a recent interview on Spencer and Heidi Pratt’s podcast, Make Speidi Famous Again.
“I definitely think that Gwyneth Paltrow is ‘Becky with the good hair.’ I really feel like she’s the one who was, like, f—ing JAY Z,” Rose said.
“They were like friends, and then, like, you don’t see Gwyneth Paltrow with Beyoncé anymore. But like Beyonce’s still with Jay.”
Songwriter behind ‘Becky with the good hair’ lyric finally speaks out
Paltrow shut down those claims with a statement from her rep this week and called the rumors “completely absurd and 100 percent false.”
A source also told PEOPLE, “Gwyneth and Beyoncé and JAY Z are still very close friends so none of this makes any sense.”
Now, sources close to Rose are insisting she was just joking around and doesn’t actually think Jay-Z and Paltrow were romantically linked.
“It was literally a joke on a podcast!” says a source close to Rose. “She was only kidding.”
Amber Rose catches flak for saying women from Philly aren’t ‘attractive’
Folks should know by now that the Beyhive doesn’t play when it comes to protecting their Queen so perhaps she should leave these kind of “jokes” alone.
The Carters don’t seem to be bothered by the rumors considering they just kicked off the North American leg of their On The Run II Tour and shared some sweet snapshots looking like an extremely happy family.
Gwyneth Paltrow has other things to focus on now that she’s gearing up for her wedding to her new beau, Brad Falchuk.
