Alex Trebek has been the host of the iconic TV game show Jeopardy! since it was revived in 1984 and has best become associated with the phrase, “please answer in the form of a question.”
Well, if this clip that TMZ and Fox News has put out is to be believed, the question should be “’What is’: ‘Has Alex Trebek lost his damn mind?’”
Alex Trebek talks about when he had the afro, the moustache, a very dark tan and how he was out there in the African American community as a ‘brother.’ OBJECTified: Alex Trebek this Sunday on Fox News at 8p ET / 5p PT and again at 11p ET / 8p PT pic.twitter.com/zOaEhf1mjs

The 78-year-old Canadian told TMZ’s Harvey Levin for the upcoming special that is ironically named Objectified, that during one of the late-Lou Rawls’ UNCF Telethons, that someone mistook him for being the brother of the late Gregory Hines. Seriously.
” Someone came up to me after and said, ‘I saw you and your brother talking over there,’” he recalls as Levin tries to restrain laughter. Trebek explained that he had an afro and a “dark tan” at the time and, well, his words only got worse from there.
Black Power
“I’m out there in the Afro-American community as a ‘brotha’,” he says, throwing up what can be interpreted as an attempt at a Black power fist.
Here are some thought after witnessing the debacle. First, it’s African-American community – or he could have just said Black community. “Afro-American” hasn’t been used in nearly 30 years.
Secondly…Man, no. Stop.
Thankfully, Black Twitter thought the same thing and weighed in on the hot mess:

Alex Trebek: Where are we going?

Question: Is Trebek out of his mind? Sound off in comments.
