Chris Paul just gifted his alma mater in a big way.
The Houston Rockets guard donated $2.5 million to the Wake Forest basketball program, marking the largest gift the school has ever received from a former player.
According to ESPN, Wake Forest plans to use the funds to expand make improvements on the men’s and women’s locker rooms and will name the men’s facility after Paul and he shared the good news on Twitter.
“Giving back has always been important to us! It’s an honor to have the opportunity to give back to my @DemonDeacons family,” he posted.

TheĀ LeBron James Family FoundationĀ and theĀ Akron (Ohio) Public SchoolsĀ teamed up to launch the new elementary school for under-resourced children in his hometown of Akron, Ohio.
TheĀ I Promise SchoolĀ is the culmination of nearly a decade of work by the foundation, with its focus on educating children from challenging backgrounds who need and desire additional educational support. The school will begin with two grades ā third and fourth ā with plans to expand in the coming years.Ā
