Trump campaign takes legal action against Omarosa alleging breach of secrecy agreement

Well, that didn’t take long.

In the first wave of fallout from Omarosa Manigault-Newman’s new tell-all, secret recordings and blistering media tour, the Trump administration has filed arbitration against  for breach of a non-disclosure contract according to ABC News.

In a statement to ABC News on Tuesday, a senior Trump official said:

Donald J. Trump for President, Inc. has filed an arbitration against Manigault-Newman with the American Arbitration Association in New York City, for breach of her 2016 confidentiality agreement with the Trump Campaign. President Trump is well known for giving people opportunities to advance in their careers and lives over the decades, but wrong is wrong, and a direct violation of an agreement must be addressed and the violator must be held accountable.”

However, Manigault-Newman said on Monday that she never signed an NDA.

“I never signed that draconian NDA that they presented to me when I walked into the White House,” Newman told the PBS NewsHour anchor and managing editor Judy Woodruff.

Manigault-Newman has been making headlines, much to the dismay of the White House, dropping truth bombs about her experience as a former aide and Trump ally.

Trump took to Twitter to blast his former White House aide, labeling Manigault-Newman as “wacky”, “deranged” and a “low-life” in a series of blistering tweets yesterday. He also claimed she is lying about his use of the incendiary racial slur because he does not “have that word in [his] vocabulary and never have.”

But today, upon the release of Unhinged, Trump reached a new low in a tweet when he called her an animal.

Trump wrote: “When you give a crazed, crying lowlife a break, and give her a job at the White House, I guess it just didn’t work out. Good work by General Kelly for quickly firing that dog.”

There’s surely more legal issues to explore in the coming days as Manigult-Newman has said she also has recordings of Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump.
