New Way To Play: BJ Britt and Johnny Wright discover why music is food for the soul

Take a look at how two good friends find ways to make life more fun.

Check out the second installment of theGrio's resident style expert, Johnny Wright finding a new way to live life to the fullest.

As one of the most sought-after celebrity hairstylists in the game, Johnny Wright is always on the lookout for unique and exciting ways to live it up. This is why theGrio‘s resident style expert wanted to check out SoulFood and Soundtracks, a unique culinary experience that combines amazing food with your favorite music.

Cruising in the new Toyota Avalon, Johnny links up with his good friend, actor BJ Britt, at Moonwater Farms, an urban micofarm nestled in the middle of Compton, CA that makes organic farming a reality for city dwellers.

Best known for his roles in hit shows like Being Mary Jane and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., BJ couldn’t wait to find out which tunes were specifically selected to go along with tonight’s dinner as he and Johnny and their guests get ready for an adventure they will never forget.

The premium experience took the “farm-to-table” trend to new heights serving up a musically-inspired menu of soul food reminiscent of your favorite Thanksgiving meal. Johnny and BJ even ventured into one of the gardens to see first hand the fresh-picked perfection offered by the farm’s food providers for their mouth-watering meal.

The chef carefully paired each carefully-crafted course with songs from his favorite films that were played through headphones given to each person at the dinner party. Catching up with friends is one thing, but getting the chance to laugh, learn, and listen to great music while eating together takes this event to a whole different level.

Aside from hosting one of today’s hottest style series, The Fashion Cafe alongside fashion influencer, Ariana Soleil, Johnny Wright also takes us inside the lives of Hollywood’s most elite beauty influencers as the host of Black Glam, the show that has already featured icons like Larry Sims and Sam Fine as subjects.

What could be better than a night of food, friends, and music curated to take you to a better place for a new way to play?
