WASHINGTON, DC - AUGUST 22: President Donald Trump listens to the opening prayer during Air Force Technical Sergeant John Chapman's Medal of Honor ceremony at the White House August 22, 2018 in Washington, DC. Chapman was killed March 4, 2002 during a battle in Afghanistan. After his helicopter came under heavy fire and crashed, Chapman and other team members returned to the snow-capped mountain to rescue a stranded service member. A Black woman posed as a Trump supporter and used their emotions to siphon more than $100,000 from Republicans before revealing her con.

The woman, who goes by the Twitter handle @chckpeas, sent the internet into a frenzy after she revealed that she had bamboozled right-wingers.

“I will not hide any longer,, the left has made us feel as if us black republicans should hide!! but not anymore!! #BlacksForTrump #WalkAway #maga.”

The woman even donned a MAGA hat like her fake cousin Kanye and posted a pic to make her story even more believable. She claimed to be a “Reformed Republican” who was feeling the heat from family about her political choices.

“thank [sic] you all so much for your overwhelming support. After seeing this tweet my parents cut me off and refuse to pay my university tuition. So if you can find it in your hearts to help, this young black Republican pay for school it would be appreciated.”

She took it even farther by posting a text conversation showing that exchange between her parents. She then posted a GoFundMe asking for support because she needed college tuition and she was in the midst of finding a new place to live.

The donations started pouring in from conservative donors to the tune of $150,000. The GoFundMe has since been deleted but from the exchange online it seems she was able to cash in on some of the funds.

The woman came clean and when asked why she tricked and lied about being a reformed Republican, she said Republicans “stealing from republicans isn’t bad because republicans aren’t ppl.”

Since the rouse, another GoFundMe has been posted saying the woman has not made money at all.

“Despite what some news articles may have written, Quran aka Karen aka Reformed Republican aka @chckpeas, did not raise $150,000 from Trump Supporters. In fact, she has made nothing from the Trump Supporters who have been accusing her of fraud. She has deleted the original gofundme and any money raised has since been returned. She is still not financially capable of returning to Howard University. If you were truly inspired by her finesse, you can find it in your hearts (and wallets) to help her return to her friends and fellow Bison in the spring.”

But it looks like folks don’t trust anything this woman’s name is attached to since this GoFundMe only has collected $10 so far.
