NFL quarterbacks have some creative ways of calling and changing plays at the line of scrimmage.

On Sunday, Los Angeles Rams quarterback Jared Goff added a new name to the list. During the first quarter of yesterday’s game against the Seattle Seahawks, CBS’s microphones caught Goff yelling “Halle Berry” multiple times before throwing an 8-yard pass to Tyler Higbee.

Yep. The star of X-Men, Monster’s Ball, and Boomerang, tweeted in response: “Hold up. What is a ‘Halle Berry’??”

After the game, Goff was shocked that Berry had responded to the play.

“Wait, hold on, are you serious? She heard it!,” Goff said to ESPN after the game. “It’s my favorite play ever.”

Goff’s teammate, running back Todd Gurley, jokingly called Goff a “thot” while head coach Sean McVay said the call was named in Berry’s honor because of her beauty and was a compliment to her.

While the “Halle Berry” play only went for eight yards, the Rams eventually beat the Seahawks 36-31.
