Season 11 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta has already aired two episodes and we have yet to see Shamari DeVoe make her big debut.

Fortunately for fans of the hit reality series who are craving some new energy, the wait is almost over and the newest member of the cast will finally get some screen time on the next episode. We caught up with the wife, mother, and singer to find out what we can expect when she joins this group of wild women.

“You will see my husband and my twin sons. They celebrated their first birthday on the show so you will see that,” she told TheGrio during an exclusive interview. “That’s my reality. I’m a wife and mother and I wanted the world to see that. I got that peach out the gate!”

Shamari DeVoe has spent years in the limelight thanks to her music career as part of the R&B group, Blaque. She also has tons of experience dealing with fame thanks to her husband, Ronnie DeVoe of New Edition.

Considering the fact that several of the ladies are constantly clashing and no one is ever willing to put their big personalities in check, we assumed the newbie would be apprehensive about how veterans of the show like Nene Leakes and Porsha Williams would welcome her into the fold.

“In this group, there are gonna be people who have things to say or aren’t so welcoming of course,” she explained. “Being around a bunch of women, everyone is not going to love each other. It is what it is.”

While Cynthia Bailey told us that Shamari brings “new energy” to the group, don’t expect Shamari to bend over backwards to keep the peace.

“I don’t like drama like that but if you keep poking then you might get something out the bag,” she said. “I would say that when I’m passionate about something I’m definitely very outspoken.”

Shamari DeVoe says she got along with most of the ladies in the group but she’s closest to two of the toughest critics on the show.

“I knew Kandi [Burruss] because we were on the same label in the nineties and so we have had a relationship over the years,” she said. “I also really like nene [Leakes]. She’s funny.”

She didn’t come clean about which cast member she had trouble with.

“You have to stay tuned and see exactly what’s going to happen.”

Real Housewives of Atlanta airs Sundays at 8/7c on Bravo.
