The cast and crew members of Creed II gave Philadelphia movie goers at an early screening of the highly anticipated sequel one sweet surprise last Saturday.

Showing up at the United Artists Riverview Plaza 17 theater in the same city where the movie was filmed were stars Michael B. Jordan, Dolph Lundgren, Tessa Thompson, and Florian “Big Nasty” Munteanu, according to social media posts from audience members in attendance.

Director Steven Caple, Jr. was also on hand at the screening.

Creed II will officially open on Wednesday, Nov. 21, and continues where the first movie left off. Jordan stars as Adonis Creed, son of Apollo Creed, a boxer balancing his personal obligations while training for his next big fight, right alongside Stallone’s Rocky Balboa. As he prepares for the fight of his life against an opponent linked to his family’s past, Adonis and Rocky will “confront their shared legacy, question what’s worth fighting for, and discover nothing’s more important than family,” according to the movie synopsis.

The film is the eighth installment of the Rocky franchise, and follows up 2015’s Creed.

In addition to his advance screening appearance, Jordan was also named GQ’s “Leader of the Year” this week as part of the magazine’s 2018 “Men of the Year” issue.

“I remember when it used to be like, ‘He’s the next Will Smith,'” Jordan told GQ. “Now, I’m the example of the next — they’re looking for the next me.”

Fans will next see Jordan in Just Mercy, the true story of world-renowned civil rights defense attorney Bryan Stevenson as he fights to free a condemned death row prisoner.

While filming the movie on location in Alabama, Jordan drove by a schoolyard full of children and decided to stop and give them the surprise of their lives.

According to the video that has now gone viral, the kids were sweating in the heat doing calisthenics when Jordan dropped by and judging by their reaction Jordan really made their day.

Jordan posted on Instagram about the impromptu school visit:

“I was driving from set & saw these young kings standing in their school parking lot doing jumping jacks in 90 degree heat! The sight of them inspires me & reminds me why I do what I do!”

The kids were excited seeing the action hero of sorts and some gave him a hug while others hit him up with a high-five.

“Make sure you listen to [your teacher], listen to your parents. Make sure y’all work hard,” Jordan is heard saying in the video. “Pay attention in school.” “Yes, sir!” the boys responded.
