It really was not that long ago when Drake infamously said that Meek Mill‘s “trigger fingers turned to Twitter fingers.”
That might as well be a lifetime ago now as during Meek’s Motivation Tour stop in Los Angeles on Thursday, Drake made another cameo appearance during the show. The two ironed out their differences last year after Meek was released from prison.
Well, on Thursday night, Drake said that Meek has had “the best comeback of all time.”
“First of all, I want everybody in Los Angeles right now to make some noise for this muthaf—in’ man right here killing the whole world,” Drake said. “You definitely had the best comeback of all time. Real shit. That’s my muthaf—in’ brother right there for real.”
Drake did address the previous beef from a few years addressing their previous beef and used their squashing it as a sign of growth.
“I see a lot of people that don’t understand this but I’ma let you know that life—this is what it’s about,” Drake said. “Sometimes you gotta come together and get it together. That’s what it’s about.
“So I want you to remember that in your own personal situations, I want you to remember this is the goal, this is the objective,” he added. “Now I’m back on stage with my brother and we’re getting money together.”
During a Feb. 18 interview with FootWear News, Meek echoed the sentiment.
“Nothing lasts forever,” he said. “We had something going on for two or three years, but I’m older now—I’m 31 years old. I can’t be the same way I was when I was 27 or 28.
“Everything about me is maturing,” he said.
Meek decided to give the L.A. audience the live debut of their collaboration, “Going Bad.” The two officially squashed the beef when they teamed up during a show in Boston during the Aubrey & the Three Migos tour.
