FIRST LOOK: Zendaya and Storm Reid star in Drake-produced series ‘Euphoria’

The teen-drama is also executive produced by Future The Prince.

We’ve been looking forward to more details on HBO’s upcoming teen drama series, Euphoria ever since the Drake-produced series that stars Zendaya and Storm Reid was announced last year.

Luckily, HBO and A24 have released the first teaser for the show and it looks just as interested as we hoped.

The 30-second sneak peek gives us a glimpse of Zendaya as her character, “Rue,” described as a “lying, drug-addicted, 17-year-old” in the upcoming series that is based on an Israeli series of the same title.

The show also stars several young talents including Algee Smith, Austin Abrams, Nika King, Maude Apatow, Barbie Ferreira, Hunter Schafer and Sydney Sweeney. HBO described the project as a teen drama about “drugs, sex, identity, trauma, social media, love and friendship” and we are intrigued.

No word on what inspired Drizzy to jump into the production game but we’re excited to see how his first project as an executive producer turns out.

HBO is gearing up for some other highly-anticipated releases in the coming months.

Season 2 of Lena Waithe‘s hit drama, The Chi kicks off on April 7 and we can barely contain our excitement about the incredible series returning to the small screen.

The network will also unveil Native Son next month, the Sundance favorite that stars Ashton Sanders and Kiki Layne and is based on Richard Wright‘s iconic novel of the same name. The film  directed by Rashid Johnson and features Sanaa Lathan premieres on HBO on April 6.
